Hey friends, Happy New Year! Today I’m sharing my favourite clean red lip colours.  Remember, red doesn’t have to be scary. Swaping out lipstick for a tinted balm or lip oil, is also a really great place to start. As always, everything I review is clean, high-performing and cruelty-free.

Here’s My Top Five for 2024 – in no particular order…

Elf Glossy Lip Stain – Fiery Red

Not only is this one a killer price, coming in at under $10, it’s lightweight, buildable, and gives a natural pop of color. Use a little for a light pop, or a couple of swipes for a deeper stain. Bonus, it lasts for hours.

Jones Road Lip Tint – Valencia Orange

Love this one! It’s a beautiful bright coral-red. So smooth and satiny, almost like a lip balm with huge color payoff. Glides on like a dream!

Ilia Color Block Lipstick – Flame

If you’re looking for a full-coverage red, this is your girl. So creamy and hydrating thanks to jojoba oil, apricot seed oil, mango seed butter and shea butter. Amazing color pigment, which lasts all day. This is a warm, cheerful red. A great option for weddings.

Beautycounter Statement Maker Satin Lipstick – Blue Red

Searching for the perfect Taylor Swift red? Words like soft, buttery, and nourishing come to mind. Packed full of Acai oil, mango butter and more, this is a true cool red that will outlast the 3-hour show.

Milk Makeup Lip and Cheek Cream Blush Stick – Flip

It’s called a true red but I feel like it’s softer, more of a pinky-red. I love this one because it’s a perfect multi-use product. Gives a natural flush to the cheeks and a nice rosy hue to the lips. It’s hydrating, glowy perfection!
